Mini-Artworks: "April's Pansies" brings springtime and beauty to us all year long. I picked up a few small packets of pansies from the nursery, but then we ran into some terrible weather. So I put them temporarily in a big window on--my butcher's pan paint palette! Only to discover that I couldn't get enough of the brilliant color splotches of light against dark, the uniqueness of their petals, all with that beautiful emerald green for the leaves and stems. It was too inspiring to resist painting them! I'm so glad I did; now they cheer me in the studio even after planting them outside. Would you like them to cheer you too? The original painting is acrylic gouache with a very pale gray background, as are the reproductions. You will get a 6" X 8" professional reproduction on archival paper that you can enjoy as is, or mat and frame to a standard 8" x 10" size.
